Who'd a Thunk...

...that Wei Wang, the starting catcher for China's WBC team would be the first player to homer in the tournament. His shot came in the bottom of the fourth inning during the second game of the tournament. With all the power on both the Korean and Japanese teams, I was shocked that both of those teams went dinger-free for 13 innings.

But, Wei's homer seemed to awaken Japan's offense, which exploded for 18 runs and 3 round trippers.

Final score 18-2 Japan.
