Odds and Ends

Feels like Charlottesville has been transported back to February. Snow fell early Saturday morning and it's been windy and cold since. Global warming has taken a few days off.

Don Imus is catching a lot of flak for comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team. Imus was a fixture of my morning ride to school back in high school until the radio station replaced him with a local show. (Might have been JT & Dave, but I can't remember). Despite all the calls for his termination, expect him * addendum: possibly not* to survive.

At the end of baseball's first week, The Washington NAAAts are 1-6, well on pace to becoming the worst team in major league baseball history. Making matters worse (or better, depending on whether you like the team), they play the red-hot Atlanta Braves this week in a three-game series.
